Copper Sulphide in transformers and reactors?

Recently it has been reported about this new phenomenon, which might be the reason for trouble with hot running, oil filled components like GSU transformers, shunt reactors or HVDC transformers.

Not much knowledge is available at the moment, but investigations are being done by the major suppliers of insulation oil and transformers.

If you have information you want to share, please do not hesitate to send me an e-mail
